Morala is situated within the Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site amongst the lush, small mountains and valleys formed by the great collision of a massive meteoroid about the size of table mountain traveling at around 150 000 Km/h some 2023 million years ago.
This site is the oldest astrobleme yet found on Earth and still visible from space. (For more info on the Vredefort Dome: http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/1162 or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vredefort_crater)
Morala's valleys and mountains provide for beautiful sceneries and hikes and are home to a wide variety of plants, insects, birds and other wildlife.
Our vision is to conserve this beautiful natural heritage yet be able to share it with the world by accomodating small groups.
